SAWEDOFF · THE EIGHT CIRCLES
Privacy
Updated October 1, 2026
The short version: no ads, no account, and nothing follows you around the internet. Your progress lives on your phone, with a backup under your save code. The game counts how it's played (how long, how far, on what kind of phone) under a random code, never your name. If you post to the leaderboard, the name you pick is public. If you sign up for updates, SAWEDOFF, That's Live ENT. and Paradisus Media Group get your email and number to send them, and nobody else does.
On your phone
Your progress, gear, trophies and settings are saved in this browser's storage on your device. They stay there. Clearing your browser data, or opening the game in a different browser, starts you fresh.
If you post to the leaderboard
- The name you choose. It shows on the public leaderboards. No email or real name needed, and best not to use your real name.
- Your scores and run stats: score, rank, demons slain, souls, damage taken, revives, difficulty and how long the circle took.
- A random player ID your browser makes, so your scores stay yours.
Your save code
When you clear your first circle, the game gives you a save code and keeps a copy of your progress (circles, ranks, gear, trophies and settings) on the server under it, updated as you play. Anyone with your code can load that progress, so keep the picture to yourself. The server also sets a cookie on this site that remembers your code, so if your browser forgets your progress, it comes back on its own. It's only used for that.
If you sign up for updates
The sign-up page is separate from the game and only for fans who want news, music drops, merch and offers by email and text from SAWEDOFF, That's Live ENT. (who made the game) and Paradisus Media Group (who make its videos). If you sign up, we keep:
- Your email address and mobile number, to send you those emails and texts.
- Proof that you said yes: the exact words you agreed to, when you agreed, the page and where you came from, your browser type, and the scrambled IP code described below.
They're only used by those three to send you updates. They're never sold, and never shared with anyone else for their own marketing; the only other company that gets them is the service that sends the emails and texts. To stop: reply STOP to any text, or use the unsubscribe link in any email. To have your details deleted, message SAWEDOFF on Instagram.
Keeping it fair
To stop cheating and to count button taps once a day, the server keeps a scrambled version of your IP address: a one-way code made with a secret only the server knows. Your actual IP address isn't stored, and the code can't be turned back into it.
Button taps
Taps on SAVE THIS SONG (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube), pre-save and share are counted as daily totals per song, so the artist can see what fans use. So are opening the game, reaching the lobby, and starting and clearing each circle, so the artist can see how far fans get. Each counts once a day. None of it is tied to your name.
How the game is played
So the team can see what works and fix what doesn't, the game sends its own server a few numbers about each visit, under a random code your browser makes and keeps in its storage. The code isn't your name, your leaderboard name, your save code or your IP address, and it isn't linked to them or to a sign-up. Clearing your browser data makes a new one. Under that code the server keeps:
- How long the game was on screen and how long you were inside a circle, the day, and the hour on your clock when you opened it.
- How far you got: the opening, the lobby, each circle started and cleared, and how each run ended (cleared, went down, quit), on which stage, on which difficulty.
- The kind of device (iPhone, iPad, Android, computer), and where you came from: the app or site that linked you (Instagram, TikTok, a friend's "beat my score" link) or a tag on the link. Not the full address of the page before.
- Which buttons you tapped (see Button taps, below).
It's only read by SAWEDOFF, That's Live ENT. and Paradisus Media Group, as totals, to make the game better. It's never sold or shared.
What we don't do
- No ads, no advertising cookies, no analytics companies, nothing that follows you to other sites. The game only talks to its own server.
- Nothing is sold, or shared with anyone for their own marketing.
Other services
The game runs on Cloudflare, which handles traffic to its servers under its own privacy policy. Links to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and Instagram take you to those apps, and their privacy policies apply once you're there.
Age
The game plays explicit music and isn't meant for children under 13.
